Executive Profile

Engr. Syed Khurram Ali brings nearly three decades of combined hands-on mechanical engineering, industrial QA/QC management, and technical insurance surveying expertise to Q.A. Shirazi Surveyors (Pvt) Ltd.

Since joining the firm in February 2013, he has led multidisciplinary loss adjusting teams, conducting risk assessments and claims investigations across fire, machinery breakdown (MBD), marine cargo, and miscellaneous industrial losses.

Prior to his career in loss adjusting, Mr. Ali acquired extensive manufacturing, shop-floor, and QA/QC management experience across major industrial sectors. His engineering background includes working as a Trainee Project Engineer at Peoples Steel Mills, as well as serving as Deputy Manager of Production & QA/QC at Progressive Engineering Associates and AMI Mechanical Industries.

His deep operational insight into heavy machinery, precision tooling, natural gas infrastructure, and plant fabrication enables him to deliver rigorous technical cause-of-loss analysis and precise valuation assessments.

• Marine & Cargo Surveys: Assessment of draft surveys, containerized cargo, bulk shipments, breakbulk, and transit damage claims.

• Port Operations & Terminals: In-depth knowledge of port loading/unloading logistics, hazardous material handling, and jetty safety standards derived from decades of oil & gas sector experience.

• Legal & Regulatory Compliance: Applying foundational legal expertise (LL.B.) to insurance policy interpretations, liability evaluations, and claim settlement frameworks.

• Accredited Surveying Operations: Serving as an Accredited Surveying Officer (ASO) for complex marine, transit, and commercial property risk inspections.
